How to Change the Narrative of Your Life with Kristie Bergey

How to Change the Narrative of Your Life with Kristie Bergey

Kristie  Bergey is an Associate with Very Real Estate who helps people get new leases in a record-breaking time of less than 3 hours. With her background in real estate, she grasps the essence of the investment world. It is no surprise that she is also an entrepreneur who creates new businesses. Today, she travels the world and embraces the cultural differences in Philadelphia while owning three homes.

Kristie joins me today to share what led her to change the narrative of her life and how her change in mindset resulted in the success she’s currently enjoying today. She shares what inspired her to begin investing in herself, how she failed in her attempt to have a thriving business while clinging to a false sense of security as well as the things she would have done differently about these “crutches.” She also shares why she makes it a point to help others avoid the challenges she faced and her reflections and realizations along the way.

“It’s not about the ‘woulda, shoulda, coulda.’” – Kristie Bergey

Managing Mindset By Creating Alter-Egos with Whitney Nicely

Managing Mindset By Creating Alter-Egos with Whitney Nicely

On Today’s Episode of the Balance Boldly for Ambitious Women Podcast, Whitney Nicely is the Queen of real estate investing in East Tennessee. She is an expert property investor, speaker, and real estate coach whose career initially began while living on her parent’s couch and working a desk job where she made $24,000 annually. Deciding there were better options and possibilities waiting for her, she decided to take a leap of faith and begin her real estate journey.

In less than three years, she built her real estate empire to an impressive $2.5-Million in assets – acquiring 19 homes, 19 apartment units, and seven lots of land. Today, she coaches hundreds of women how to use no money down, no credit, and no banks to finance real estate deals through her REI Rock Star and First Deal Done Fast programs.

Whitney joins me today to share how creating an alter-ego can help you manage your mindset, improve your mental health, and combat burnout and impostor syndrome. She explains how she handled negative comments and lack of support from her significant other while beginning her journey into real estate and entrepreneurship and how she found her “custom fit balance” to building her business while maintaining a long-distance marriage. She also explains why she believes the key to success in life and business is to maintain strong mental health.

“It’s the mental health that keeps strong women strong and setting a good foundation.” – Whitney Nicely

Key Takeaways:

  • F.A.I.L. represents your First Attempt In Learning.
  • You have to do something that you’re not only talented and skilled at doing in running a business, but do something that you’re genuinely passionate about and that you have the heart to do.
  • Your brand helps set you apart in so many ways.
  • You have to be very clear about the people you’re speaking to — and speak only to them.
  • Serve the person that you intended to serve. Focus on serving one, and several thousand people will become your superfans and buy into exactly what you’re trying to help them to do

A Little Gentle Honesty:

  • Do not deplete yourself — giving so much of you to the whole that you’re left with a negative balance, and you can’t create the memories that matter for your life and business. #BrandYou
